Spinxo 200 DT Tablet contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil 200 mg as the active ingredient, which is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It's commonly used for treating bacterial infections.
Uses/Indications:

Gonorrhea (urinary and genital infections caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae)
Mechanism of Action:
Cefpodoxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It binds to specific proteins (penicillin-binding proteins) on the bacterial cell wall, disrupting its formation and leading to the rupture of the cell, thereby killing the bacteria.

Adult Dosage: 200 mg once or twice daily depending on the severity and type of infection.
Pediatric Dosage: The dosage varies depending on the child’s weight and infection type. Usually, 5–10 mg/kg daily is recommended.
Duration of Treatment: Typically ranges from 5 to 10 days, depending on the infection being treated.
